The Challenge

Jack Robinson Catering is a Harrogate caterer and private chef covering weddings, corporate events, BBQs and private dining across Yorkshire. The business was running on a Wix site that treated every service as part of one general offer, so there was no dedicated page to rank for searches like "private chef Harrogate" and no structured way to capture and track enquiries.

The Strategy

Full rebuild on Next.js: We moved the site off Wix onto a fast, static Next.js build hosted on Vercel, keeping the domain and redirecting the old URLs.

One page per service: Private chef, wedding, corporate, BBQ, street food and event catering each got its own keyword-mapped page, so every service can rank for its own search terms.

Local SEO foundations: LocalBusiness, Service, FAQ and Review schema sitewide, plus area coverage for Harrogate, Knaresborough, Ripon, Wetherby, Otley, Skipton, Leeds and York.

Enquiry form built to convert: A multi-step enquiry form that tags each lead by service, emails Jack instantly and sends the customer an automatic reply.

Automated lead reporting: A weekly report that counts new website enquiries and emails the total to the client every Monday, with no manual work.

Real reviews and content: Genuine customer reviews published with review schema, and buyer guides written around the questions customers actually search for.

The Results

Figures below cover 31 August to 28 September 2026, taken from the site's enquiry records and Google Search Console.

• 24 website enquiries in 4 weeks, from 24 different people
• Enquiries across the range: private chef, BBQ and corporate catering as well as general event enquiries
• Organic clicks up 45% on the previous 28 days (74 vs 51)
• Click-through rate more than doubled, from 1.5% to 3.5%
• Average Google position improved from 22 to 15.3
• 555 search queries now showing the site in Google, including "private chef Harrogate" and "catering Harrogate"
